Please Delay Pragmata

We’ve been meaning to post this article, but some situations outside our control came up. The demo for Pragmata came out and we played it. Theres some stuff we need to discuss about it.
We’ve been hyped for Pragmata for a while. I remember when the trailer debuted at the PS5 reveal. A few years later, we got some gameplay after the devs stopped to focus on the games direction.
The graphics are good but the rest is just ok. One problem is the movement, it feels slow. When you’re floating, you don’t have that much feeling either. There needs to be more feedback through the controller. I know your in space but platforming feels underwhelming .
The gunplay is another issue I have. In the demo you have 3 or 4 guns you can use, but they don’t feel good to use. They lack punch and the feedback feels off. They don’t feel bad, they work, but they don’t feel good either. The scanning feature offers more feedback and feeling through the controller than shooting does. Turning on aim assist feels a little better, but doesn’t fix the lack of feeling. The guns also don’t do enough damage to enemies hacked or not. It needs to have the gunplay of Vanquish.

I like the hacking you can do against enemies. The issue is I think they need to make it a bit harder. Maybe don’t have it on the basic enemies. Have enemies move faster or have different hacking mechanics that are randomized between enemies. The door hacking wasn’t that good either, you just press the face buttons in order.
We feel Capcom should look at fixing this game, and maybe delay it. I like the visuals and ideas, but the game needs to be made better. Theres games that do everything better from Capcom. For the movement, use something more fluid like DMC, or a more fluid and faster version of RE. It’s in space, but zero gravity sections are usually more frustrating than good in games. Hacking wise, you could do something like Deus Ex for doors, and a lighter version of it for enemies. You could also do something like Watch Dogs, where you need to adjust stuff in the environment.
