Halo Infinite Review: I Don’t Remember Writing

So I played Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer and wow we got hella issues Batman. How did this get like this. 343 has yet again managed to make something even worse then the last.

The gameplay isn’t broken, but it feeds this identity crisis that has been a trope with the 343 Halos. It feels literally like they’ve taken every trend from the big shooters like Fortnite and CoD, then reskinned them with Halo assets. The concoction ends up becoming the most generic Halo multiplayer I’ve ever played. And judging how quickly the player base has fallen off in just a week, I suppose I’m not the only one who sees it generic, shallow and forgettable.

The maps feel generic and are nothing memorable to say the least and now that I think about it, I can’t remember any maps from Halo 4, 5, or Infinite, but I can recall maps from the first 3.

The maps have not only a generic feel, but also this unneeded openness. Its liike these new maps……..in every other shooter. Where you have eight different ways to enter an area and kill you.

The weapons are also lacking when it comes to inspiration. Again taking ideas and concepts from other shooters and not making them Halo. No just ripped straight out  and you wonder why is this here? Example the electric guns that looked to have come from Wolfenstein or Doom. And my fault, I’m lying because the ideas they took from other games are half baked. Also in the pic above, if the top of that gun wasn’t Spartan green would you think that was in Halo? This is the third mainline Halo, where dual wielding has been removed and this is a big disappointment.

And in terms of gunplay why does every gun have ADS and second why is ADS’ing overly sensitive. And why the hell is the shotty neutered, to the point it takes literally 3 or 4 shots and point blank are required to kill someone. The BR rate of fire has been slowed considerably and the bullet spread is weird.

The movement and grappling hook again taken from Titanfall and completely half baked and the physics of the grappling hook doesn’t make sense.

VERDICT: Gamepass has a new victim and thou name Is Halo
